Hello All,

Its been a minute. Wanted to get back to my love after some time away. With the year almost over, I wanted to share some of the things I've learned over the year as well as some other things I have on the horizon.

Don't stop learning
1. This is the biggest one. There was some thing i've needed learn, I dove all the way in to make sure I understood the subject. From buying bonds, understanding orderflow, fund families, and even studying past markets, I made sure to increase my knowledge to better my investing strategy.
Find a strategy that works and stick with it
1. The year before, I was in SIX trading clubs that all promised high gains with simple methods. NONE of them gave me what they promised. From trading options, swing trading, short term investing, none of it. So I did something that worked for me. I created my own strategy. It involved swing trading stocks with a 3:1 target. This means that I risk 1% to make +3%. This works for me because instead of having to be right in 2 minutes or less with day trading, I just need to be right over a number of days or weeks. Slow and steady wins the race.
There are people who have done this before you who are successful. Learn from them.
1. From books, to seminars, to podcasts, to articles, I made sure to soak up knowledge from the experts to see what they have learned and see what they would do differently.
The ones who don't know much about investing will tell on themselves REAL QUICK!!!
1. I had to learn this the hard way. The so called "experts" who tell you that investing is easy, investing can get you rich overnight, investing guarantees you 30% year over year, is all a lie. Institutions pay MILLIONS to traders to try to beat the market every single year. Now if Joe Blow investor is telling you he is a top trader or can guarantee you returns, ask for their credentials or ask to see their profit/loss results. If they don't provide it, save your time and move on.
You can't save them all
1. This one hurt my soul. No matter how much money I've made from investing, I still had skeptics telling me falsehoods about investing. You have to be rich to invest. False. The market isn't for our people. False. I get a better return from real estate. Statistically false. No matter how much data I provided, I kept getting more and more excuses. So I have stopped. Now, if you want to learn, I let them seek me out and we can have the conversation.

The next 10 will be quick hitters.

Anything more than a 1% gain is more money than you had before, be grateful.
Buy when you're fearful. In a year, everything will be better and your future you will thank you.
Yahoo finance/CNBC/Investing channels aren't as complicated as you think.
The financial analysts can't predict the future. They don't know what's gonna happen next neither.
Everybody is using data to make investments. Learn what data can help you and apply it.
Read a chapter a day of a finance book, you'll learn something new
The rich invest in the stock market. You will be rich as well if you invest in the stock market
Read more annual and quarterly reports from your company. You're a part owner of a fortune 500 company, act like you're the CEO
Find more ways to make income to invest more. The more you invest, the faster you get to retire.
Find ways to enjoy investing.
